Saint Casimir Regional School

Mission Statement
We seek to assist in the spiritual, academic, social, and physical development of each student through a program and environment that is marked by Christian values. We offer knowledge of the Catholic Church, an experience of Christian community, and an opportunity to develop skills for promoting a just and peace-filled society.

History
The Sisters of the Resurrection established the Regional School at Saint Casimir in 1896. Its mission was, and is still today, to serve the children of the community.

Philosophy
We believe that every child deserves a quality, Christ-centered education where each student is taught respect and Catholic-Christian responsibility while being given a quality education for success in this ever-changing world.

We strive to build the city of God by providing prayerful experiences, modeling Christian values, and fostering a caring family atmosphere.

Learning Through Technology
In 1998 we were selected to be a New York Wired for Education School Demonstration site. Our technology program has state-of-the art computers in every classroom. Our students receive instruction in the use of the internet, PowerPoint, and other multimedia tools to help them succeed in today's rapidly changing world.

In 2002, we were named one of the Top 12 Schools in the United States for our innovative application of technology in the classroom and in staff development.  Our students make use of two videoconferencing stations in our school building, as well as two laptops and portable projection equipment for mobile presentations.

Students
Each student in our school has unique gifts and talents, which make them special. They are challenged daily to succeed in a warm and nurturing environment. Saint Casimir students are taught that there is no short cut to success--hard work and dedication is the key.  We guide and challenge our students to strive for Nothing Short of Excellence.

Teachers and Staff
Our certified teachers are dedicated to the development of the whole child through a rigorous academic program where the students are taught responsibility and respect.
