Through the holiday season we will still be hard at
work!
Sixth Grade Science
We will be studying DNA and inheritance (I have a fascinating strawberry DNA extraction lab for you), light (with Ms Maida/St Rose Science), and mixing in some chemical reaction demonstrations and activities to warm us up for our chemistry unit.
Seventh Grade Science
We will be finishing cellular chemistry and moving into our chapter on cell reproduction, DNA, mutations, and inheritance. We will have a great laboratory activity comparing the light and dark reactions in plants.
Eighth Grade Science
We will be studying solutions, supersaturation and solubility curves, then move into density and buoyancy. We will also enrich our previous unit on chemical reactions with some fun and thought-provoking demonstrations and lab activities.
Sixth Seventh Eighth Grade Math
We will be taking the Diocese Benchmarks exams!
And we will be studying integers, powers, factoring expressions, and rational number operations. Let's rock it!
